The ULTRA Anchor Ring is a dual-purpose tool for anchoring and recovery. It adds weight to the chain to improve comfort and reduce swing in limited-space anchorages, and it can also support recovery when an anchor is fouled on the seabed.
The ULTRA Anchor Ring is intended to be used with a rope that allows controlled lowering and recovery handling. The guidance recommends selecting rope diameter with a margin for the additional forces that may occur when freeing a stuck anchor, and it notes that overly thin rope can make lowering the ring more difficult.

The ULTRA Anchor Ring also functions as a recovery tool. If an anchor becomes stuck on the seabed, the ring can support recovery, particularly in situations where entering the water is not possible or not preferred. For areas known for fouling, the guidance recommends using a trip line and buoy before deploying the anchor. The same recovery approach can also be used if the chain itself becomes fouled.
If wind increases and the chain stretches straight, the ring’s weight may no longer be sufficient. In that case, the guidance recommends increasing scope.
