A shackle is a safety-critical link in any anchoring setup. The cromox® Nautic shackle is designed for reliable connections on board, for example between anchor and anchor chain. Built from AISI 318LN Duplex stainless steel and finished with a shot blasted surface, it is made for long service life in salt water environments.
The cromox® Nautic shackle is a stainless-steel quick connection shackle designed to be robust and dependable in marine use. It provides a secure connection between two components where failure is not an option, such as the interface between anchor and chain.
A key functional benefit is the pin security concept. The pin is designed to be doubly secured against becoming loose. When secured, it can still be rotated, enabling a flexible yet reliable connection in practical on-board handling.
The Nautic shackle combines material selection with a safety-focused locking concept. In marine applications, corrosion resistance is critical because moisture and seawater constantly attack exposed metal surfaces. Stainless steel resists corrosion through a passive surface layer that helps protect the material over time.
